Azure Service Manager (ASM), also referred to as Azure Classic, is being fully retired on September 1st 2023. From this date on CTERA Portal servers of CTERA Edge Filers that were created using ASM will be stopped and deallocated by Microsoft.

Note

Only CTERA Portal servers and CTERA Edge Filers created before 28 February 2020 might be affected.

CTERA Products Created Using Azure Service Manager (ASM)

If you have any virtual machines in Azure that were created before 8 February 2020 check whether they were created using ASM. In the list of virtual machines listed in the Azure portal, the affected VMS are listed with the virtual machines (classic) type.
If you have any VMs of type virtual machines (classic), contact CTERA support who will guide you through the process to migrate these VMs to Azure Resource Manager (ARM) so that they will continue to function after September 1st 2023.
